A cold night in Melbourne

Lets just say that Melbourne at night is bloody cold. Should of learned my lesson after my many travels here. But here I sit with a cold coming on.

A shirt and cardigan just doesn't cut it. The wind just cuts right through you.

Had a fun night out with Hugo (on this cold evening). My good man Francis requested we meet up at the James Squire Brewhouse on Russel St.

Got some lovely brews. Hugo hit up a dark wheat beer and I cranked the amber ale. Pretty nice stuff. For dinner we both had the beef burger.

Maybe it was the alcohol talking; but it was beautiful. We cranked a game of pool after. The food did not want to digest; it still hasn't. Totally worth it though.

Talking about class establishment. Huge wave of rain hit while we were eating. So what happens? The roof starts leaking. Then the fire alarm goes off. We got a bonus visit from the firemen and fire woman.

After finishing off; we decided to go for a stroll. Saw the Carlton hotel and paid it a visit. It's a pretty nice place. Very interesting decor. There's a Rhino head, emu and a giraffe for good measure.

Next stop was Cookie. This place had a great vibe and was quite busy. Would really want to check it out another night.

Got a call from Francis; he was at Charltons. After getting lost for a while we find it down the alley way. The bonus touch was the Club XXX bar at the end of the alley. Pure class.

I think Hugo and I had the worst games ever of pool for the next hour. Not that I'm actually good. But still. This was bad to see at times. Pretty happy pulling off some insane bank shots.

Tired and wanting to get some sleep we decided to walk back to the hotel. Really. Without warm clothes. It was bloody well shit of a trek.

Still. Hugo managed to get himself a 6-pack of the mighty Mariner.
