I should really discern between the two more often.
Always happens when purchasing new gadgets... or anything new for that matter. New things make you happy. For a while at least.
That's until it's sitting in dust, tucked away, ignored. Your purchase has just become an addition to the pile of (expensive) un-used pile of crap.
In my case I'm talking about my PC.
I had my "good" intentions. I want something that will play the latest games, because that's totally what I do. In actual fact this is wrong... I don't game that often, and if i do it's on a console.
After I completed my tax return. I got as top of the line at the time (that was reasonable) to create this gaming bad boy.
- Intel® E8500
- ATI Radeon™ HD 4870
- 1TB of storage
- (only) 4GB of RAM
- Antec P183
- Logitech G15 Gaming Keyboard
- Logitech G5 mouse
It was used for a while. But it ended up how I thought it would.
Not being used for really long periods of times. I should of known from the outset I wasn't going to play that many games on it. I'm just not a gamer. I thought I was... but nothing really backed up that claim I told myself.
So now there's a pretty decent PC back in its day sitting under the desk collecting dust. All the while I'm using my crappy laptop I got a year earlier.
It's what I'd always needed, not something I just wanted.
